Freckles across the nose and cheeks, faded with less stress on the skin barrier
Freckles, sun spots, and faint blemishes sit close to the skin surface and can make your whole complexion look dull and uneven. At Cellin Clinic Myeongdong, the type and spread of pigment are assessed first, then 755nm PicoSure energy is used to target the melanin.

Procedure at a glance
What pigment concerns is PicoSure Toning in Myeongdong used for?
PicoSure Toning is a 755nm picosecond laser toning procedure considered for epidermal pigment such as freckles, solar lentigines, and faint blemishes, as well as a dull complexion. It takes about 10 minutes, and daily activities can usually be resumed immediately.
What this procedure can address
A focused procedure for the concern you want to change.
755nm pico toning that breaks freckles and blemishes into fine particles
Freckles and sun spots
Targets freckles scattered across the nose and cheeks, along with clearly bordered brown spots, helping them fade over time.
A more even tone
Lifts the thin veil of melanin spread across the face, which may help a dull, uneven complexion look clearer and more even.
Less heat on the skin
Energy is designed to concentrate on the target pigment, helping reduce irritation to surrounding tissue and the risk of post-procedure darkening.
Tattoo pigment breakdown
Breaks coarse, dense pigment from semi-permanent makeup and color tattoos into fine particles that the body can clear through its natural metabolic process.
About the procedure
When freckles and faint spots dull your complexion
Freckles, solar lentigines, and faint blemishes sit close to the skin surface and can make your overall tone look uneven. Instead of burning pigment with heat, PicoSure Toning uses a mechanical wave delivered in one trillionth of a second to shatter melanin into fine particles that the body can clear naturally.
The pulse is designed to be so fast that heat has little time to spread to surrounding tissue, and the laser is applied without cold gel on the skin for a clean, comfortable process. During consultation, the type and spread of your pigment are reviewed to plan the procedure.

01Can I wash my face or wear makeup right after the procedure?+
In most cases you can wash your face and apply makeup right after the procedure, so some patients visit during a lunch break. Bruising, swelling, or redness can appear immediately afterward, so keep an eye on your skin and treat it gently.
02Will I need recovery tape (DuoDERM), or will the area ooze?+
Because the laser breaks down melanin beneath the surface without stripping the epidermal barrier, oozing and bleeding are generally not expected and recovery tape is usually not needed. Response varies by skin, so please contact the clinic if you notice anything unusual.
